Nottingham City Council is planning to cut its support for public transport, as it seeks to plug a £38million loss from a failed local energy project and makes good £28.4million in unreimbursed Covid response costs. The Linkbus services, which fill in gaps in the commercial network, will be rationalised, in order to save £700,000. The 10 routes are all operated by CT4N, using city council-owned battery buses. Five of the routes are proposed for withdrawal, with modifications to some of the others to compensate. |
