Acouple of years after the National Bus Company's southern region began breaking up its subsidiaries into smaller units, the state-owned Scottish Bus Group did something similar. In June 1985, it reorganised its operating companies to meet the forthcoming deregulation of the industry and combat any competition from the local authority fleets. It restructured from seven operating companies to 11, largely focused on the boundaries of the local authorities that they served. All had Scottish Omnibuses in their titles. |
