Main depot - Harrison Close, South Wigston, Leicester Founded: 1970 by Ken Williams who achieved a childhood dream by owning his own bus company. Formerly a fitter at Leicester City Transport, he served his apprenticeship on BP oil tankers, including the British Confidence. First bus, 1956 ex-Southdown Guy Arab IV/Park Royal 1 (PUF 647), used on a school contract. Fleetnumbers applied consecutively since then in order of vehicle acquisition. Fleet grew to five by 1978 and 15 by 1991, with additional work including a free shoppers' service and a works contract. Purchased second depot with modern workshop block in Wigston 1992. Limited company incorporated 2003. Fleet peaked at 35 vehicles in March 2006. Ninety-two owned over 50 years with three more due imminently. |
