| 摘要： | At 19.00 on 17 November 1971, a group of 17 Guy Wulfrunian fans met at the West Riding Automobile Company Social Club in Wakefield to discuss the potential of creating a society with the sole purpose of preserving two of the company's few remaining Wulfrunian double-deckers. Formal bus preservation in Wakefield was born that night. With the agreement F. E. Dark, the then general manager of West Riding, approval in principle was given to assist the group in its aim, by providing garaging for the vehicles and the supply of materials to restore and maintain them. After lengthy discussions that evening, the aims of the society were agreed: to preserve a red Wulfrunian, hopefully from the first series batch, and a green Wulfrunian, preferably 995 (UCX 275), the ex-County Motors example from 1961, which had spent most of its life with West Riding. |
