| 摘要： | In my Vintage Fenton File last month about the left-hand-drive Leyland Olympics operated by Smiths of Wigan, I mentioned some of their modern day counterparts, the left-hand-drive 15m tri-axle Volvo B11Rs with Plaxton Elite-i inter-deck bodies that Stagecoach operates on Megabus services, coaches whose driving position is not always immediately obvious. Eight of the type were built as Stagecoach 55021-8 and entered service between December 2015 and March 2016 on Megabus Europe services. That proved to be a shortlived venture, ending in November 2016 when German-owned Flixbus, which had already taken over the routes, cancelled its contract for Stagecoach to operate them. |
