| 摘要： | The Isle of Wight Bus Museum's popular Buses, Beer & Walks Weekend, when large numbers of preserved buses link real ale pubs and walking trails, has been cancelled for the second year running. The mid-October weekend - organised jointly with the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra) - grew in popularity each year from the first in 2014 and defied poor weather in 2019, but is a victim of the continuing Covid-19 pandemic. While the government announced on 22 February that it plans a significant easing of restrictions in England over the spring and early summer, their timing is conditional on a continued reduction in Covid cases. They are not guaranteed to happen on the planned dates. The Isle of Wight weekend is a complex logistical exercise that takes many months of planning and committed expenditure. At this stage, the organisers say there are still too many uncertainties about what might be possible in October. |
