Deprived of visitor revenue since the pandemic struck last year, the nation's museums have been living on their reserves and need new sources of funding. Gavin Booth has done his bit to support the impressive Scottish Vintage Bus Museum, with a collection of 170 vehicles (some yet to be restored) in the 45acre former Naval depot at Lathalmond in west Fife, by funding and compiling this modestly priced and well-illustrated guide with single-page descriptions of 26 of its restored vehicles. These range from a 1929 Leyland Tiger in Alexander's blue and cream to a 1998 Volvo Olympian in First's magenta and blue "Barbie" livery, with before and after views demonstrating the quality and extent of the work that museum volunteers and vehicle owners have undertaken on these fine exhibits. |
