摘要: Monday, May 17 saw a new bus tour carrying a fresh style of branding, introduced onto the streets of Bristol by RATP-owned Bath Bus Company (BBC). This was done without fanfare or ceremonial launch, but represented a new approach to tours for the city. Having previously tried to establish new tour bus titles in the past (Extrapolitan and Navigatours) the new name for RATP Dev open top services is TOOTbus. This title will be rolled out across all the group's open tour services, although BBC's other tours will remain dual-branded with some vehicles finished carrying the widely recognised City Sightseeing livery. All BBC's buses will nevertheless be red. The TOOT brand is an amalgam of London's The Original tour and Open Tour of Paris. The introduction of the Bristol tour has been slightly delayed owing to the pandemic and consists of a route which is significantly different from previous Bristol tours. With a primary loading point at Broad Quay, on Bristol's Centre, the route is designed to be completed in just under an hour and takes in Clifton, the Harbourside, Temple Meads and Redcliffe. It includes a descent of Bridge Valley Road which emerges in the Avon Gorge alongside the River Avon to pass under Brunei's Clifton Suspension Bridge - and then through Hotwells, alongside the much redeveloped docks area where the historic SS Great Britain resides.
