摘要: Robin Jenkinson, a long-serving member of the bus industry as a driver and inspector, vehicle preservationist and hobbyist, died on May 14. He is best known for preserving a well-known coach, the Mann Egerton Leyland Royal Tiger half-decker which he owned for around 50 years -JVB 908. Paying tribute, his friend John Bath wrote: "If you were brought up (like me) in the era of Buses Illustrated, long before it became just Buses, you will have seen and admired the many wonderful bus and coach photos taken by Robin Jenkinson - who always used the more 'formal' credit of RA Jenkinson. "Robin always seemed to seek out the older, rarer buses, and from his base, then in Colchester, was perfectly placed to venture out locally to see them in East Anglia where many old stagers led very long lives. He also covered all the Eastern National territory too, when it had one of the most varied and interesting of all the Tilling Fleets in the country, back in the 1950's.
