| 摘要： | Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is inviting schools and community groups to apply for one of its life-expired yellow school buses. Eighteen Iveco Scolabus24 vehicles with 67-seater Vehixel bodies, new in 2005-2007, are up for grabs. The buses were not operated directly by TfGM, but provided to operators for use on dedicated work. Both First and Stagecoach have been contractors, alongside many smaller operators. The vehicles are being given away for free, but recipients must retain ownership for a minimum period of three years and are not permitted to use them on the road. TfGM still owns more than 50 school buses, although most are now Optare Versa hybrids, built to a special 12.1m long school bus specification. |
