摘要: Telent has won a traffic maintenance signal contract in the UK county of West Yorkshire, covering 1,600 sites over 2,029km~2.West Yorkshire consists of five metropolitan boroughs: the cities of Bradford, Leeds and Wakefield, plus Calderdale and Kirklees.Telent is to respond to faults such as a signal going down, a lamp going out or a vehicle detector failing to communicate with the control centre. The company will also visit sites, check the status of relevant assets and make sure they are at full functionality.The agreement runs until March 2025 with the option to extend up to a maximum of eight years, said Nigel Weldon, business development director at Telent. It will be run out of Telent's Micklefield Regional Service Centre. "The contract also follows a string of recent successes including five-year extensions to contracts with West Sussex County Council and Kent County Council and a new contract with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council."
