The primary objective of this study is to determine the rate and timing of fish passage in culverts that is desirable for species diversity maintenance. For Montana resident trout species, there appears to be conservatism in fish passage indicators that is excessive of that required for sufficient population distribution. Our goal is to use Yellowstone cutthroat trout to determine what percentage of fish attempting to pass a culvert during what percentage of key hydrologic times will provide species continuity above and below selected study culverts. / NOTE: Final rept. / Supplementary Notes: See also Preliminary Investigation, PB96-165311.
