| 摘要： | Moving 90% of global trade, container ships are essential to the global economy as well as industries such as manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and retail. As the global trade volumes are expected to continue to grow, we need bigger, more efficient vessels to meet the demand. The size development of container vessels is mainly influenced by the market demand and pressure to cut unit costs. Fully loaded bigger ships do not only offer affordable trade and decreased shipping costs, but also increased efficiency. Ultra-large vessels generally emit less carbon dioxide per container carried, helping companies that move goods on our services to lower the carbon footprint of their supply chains. Our latest class of 24,000 TEU vessels also form a crucial part in improving efficiency as part of our efforts to help decarbonize the shipping industry. |
