| 摘要： | The scores for the ships enrolled in the IAPH Environmental Ship Index (ESI) for the quarter starting 1 April 2021 have been released. Compared with the previous quarter, the number of registered ships in the ESI program is stabilizing. Previously, there had been a drop in registrations due to the sulfur regulation entering into force and consequently, lowering ESI scores. Additionally, the introduction of a payment system for incentive receivers ha led to some shipping companies withdrawing their ships from the program. The ESI was established in 2011 and identifies seagoing ships that perform better in reducing air emissions than required by the current emission standards of the IMO. |
