The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has determined that the SHA Selected Alternate, the Current Design Alternate (CDA), will have no significant impact on movement. The CDA proposes the reconstruction of US 50 to a six-lane divided high on the current alignment, except in the vicinity of St. Peters Church, a site listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP), where a southern shift of mainline US 50 is included to avoid impacts to the church. The CDA also includes grade separated interchanges at MD 213 and MD 404, an overpass of US 50 by MD 18, and a systems of service roads and overpasses to provide access to US 50 in the vicinity of Sportsman Neck Road/MD 456/Greenspring Road and Carmichael Road. / Supplementary Notes: Prepared in cooperation with Maryland Dept. of Transportation, Baltimore. and Maryland State Highway Administration, Baltimore. / Availability Note: Product reproduced from digital image.
