| 摘要： | Specific design requirements are included in the NFIP regulations for breakaway walls. More recent research on breakaway walls performed for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the National Science Foundation by North Carolina State University and Oregon State University evaluated the failure mechanisms. The research included full-scale, laboratory wave-tank tests of breakaway wall panels. This bulletin describes prescriptive design details that comply with the requirements of the NFIP regulations and that may be used by design professionals as an alternative to the performance requirements listed in the regulations. / NOTE: Technical bulletin. / Availability Note: Product reproduced from digital image.
