摘要: STUDIES MADE IN THE FIRST PART OF THE PROJECT IN PRINCIPLE CONFIRMED THE ADHESION OF THE NEW GENERATION TYRES ON A WET ROAD, BUT IT WAS SHOWN THAT THE VALUES FOR THE LIMITS OF ADHESION ON CERTAIN SURFACES COULD FALL TO UNEXPECTEDLY LOW VALUES. BY MEANS OF FURTHER MEASUREMENTS OF FRICTION WITH THE INSTITUTE'S MEASURING VEHICLE, THE EFFECT OF THE ROAD SURFACE ON THE ADHESION OF MODERN TYRES IN THE WET IS TO BE EXAMINED IN MORE DETAIL. TEMPORARY EXPERIMENTAL ROADS ILLUSTRATING THE WORST CONDITIONS FOR ADHESION (HIGH SPEEDS, DEEP FILM OF WATER ON THE CARRIAGEWAY, SURFACING WITH LOW SKIDDING RESISTANCE) WILL BE CONSTRUCTED.
