A HIGH LEVEL OF SAFETY FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT EQUIPMENT AND A REDUCTION IN OPERATING COSTS NECESSITATES A SOUND EVALUATION OF THE RELIABILITY OF ALL PARTS OF THE SYSTEM. TESTED METHODS ENABLE THE RELIABILITY OF ELECTRONIC DEVICES TO BE FAIRLY ACCURATELY EVALUATED. THE PROBLEM IS DIFFERENT FOR MECHANICAL COMPONENTS. HOWEVER SOME CALCULATION METHODS, WITH ADDITIONAL TESTS, WERE DEVELOPED FOR NUCLEAR PROJECTS. IT IS PROPOSED TO DETERMINE HOW THESE CALCULATION METHODS CAN BE ADAPTED TO THE PUBLIC TRANSPORT FIELD. |
