DEVELOPMENT OF A GENERALLY VALID METHOD OF CALCULATING CRACK WIDTHS FROM APPLIED STRESS, BASED ON THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE AND THE RESULTS OF TESTS
项目名称: DEVELOPMENT OF A GENERALLY VALID METHOD OF CALCULATING CRACK WIDTHS FROM APPLIED STRESS, BASED ON THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE AND THE RESULTS OF TESTS
摘要: THE EXISTING CHECK PROCEDURE FOR RESTRICTING CRACKING IN DIN 1045 LEADS IN A LARGE NUMBER OF CASES TO RESTRICTIONS IN CONSTRUCTION PRACTICE. THESE RESTRICTIONS ARE BROUGHT ABOUT BY THE TYPE OF CHECK AND NOT BY SAFETY REQUIREMENTS. OTHER CHECKING PROCEDURES - FOR EXAMPLE CEB PROPOSALS, BRITISH STANDARD, AMERICAN DESIGN PROPOSALS ETC - ALSO BRING ABOUT SIMILAR RESTRICTIONS IN USE. THE BASIC FACTORS WHICH DETERMINE CRACKING ARE WELL-KNOWN. THERE IS A NEED TO DRAW UP A FORMULA FOR CHECKING CRACK WIDTHS IN SUCH A WAY THAT ENGINEERING INFORMATION FOR ALL FIELDS OF APPLICATION IS RELIABLY DETERMINED. AFTER A GENERALLY VALID FORMULA HAS BEEN DEVELOPED A SIMPLER DESIGN PROPOSAL CAN BE DERIVED FROM THIS.
