THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEW LIMIT DESIGN REGULATIONS FOR REINFORCED CONCRETE NECESSITATES AN UPDATING OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF PHYSICAL PHENOMENA, METHODS OF ANALYSIS AND THEIR APPLICATION WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS OF THE REGULATIONS AS REGARDS BUCKLING PROBLEMS. IT IS PROPOSED TO DRAFT A DOCUMENT FOR PUBLICATION IN COOPERATION WITH SETRA. THE PREPARATION OF THIS DOCUMENT, BASED ON PREVIOUS TESTS AND STUDIES, WILL NECESSITATE ADDITIONAL COMPARISONS BETWEEN TEST RESULTS AND THEORETICAL RESULTS, AND BETWEEN VARIOUS DESIGN METHODS. THE STUDY IS ESSENTIALLY A THEORETICAL EXERCISE, THE FINAL DRAFT OF WHICH COULD BE USED AS A MANUAL FOR THE APPLICATION OF BAEL REGULATIONS.
