摘要: PREVIOUS STUDIES OF SYNTHETIC MORTAR COATINGS HAVE BEEN CONCERNED WITH THEIR BEHAVIOUR UNDER STRESS BY STUDDED TYRES; IT IS EXPECTED THAT IN PARTICULAR THE WEAR AND SKIDDING RESISTANCE WILL CHANGE WHEN STUDDED TYRES ARE NOT USED. IT IS INTENDED TO COVER AN EXPERIMENTAL SECTION OF ROAD WITH A LAYER OF SYNTHETIC RESIN MORTAR AND TO OBSERVE IT OVER A LONG PERIOD. BY MEANS OF LABORATORY TESTS ON THE SAME COATINGS, FURTHER INFORMATION IS TO BE OBTAINED ON THE APPLICABILITY OF THE RESULTS OF LABORATORY TESTS TO PRACTICAL CONDITIONS.
