| 摘要： | Volume 1 of this report provides an overview of the U.S. civil aviation industry, focusing on the immediate term and the future. Its purpose is to provide a summary for identifying the implications of the projected future aircraft fleet mix on the civil/military airlift system in the 1990 time period. The project is a direct result of the current turbulence in the airline industry and the uncertainty of the future airlift system. The results of the study provide a foundation to support the development of an analytical modeling system of the Air Staff to project alternative future configurations of the civil air fleet given alternative scenarios of future conditions in the industry. This particular phase of the effort focuses on four areas. including: The regulatory framework existing in the industry and that projected to exist in the future; The association network that has developed for the civil aviation industry and its importance to the development of future air industry structure; The components of the industry itself, including the number and types of airframes, engines, support functions within the industry such as travel agents, air freight forwarders, etc.; and The industry demographics, including operating behavior, route competition, fares, etc. |
