THE AIM OF THE RESEARCH IS TO DEVELOP METHODS OF CHARACTERIZING THE STATE OF A STRUCTURE OR PART OF A STRUCTURE DURING ITS CONSTRUCTION. THE WORK CARRIED OUT IN 1978 DEALT WITH THE QUALITY OF IN-SITU CONCRETE, CHARACTERIZATION OF CRACKS AND IN-SITU CONTROL OF PRESTRESSING UNITS. THIS WORK WILL BE CONTINUED IN 1979, THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE METHOD WILL DEAL MAINLY WITH: CHARACTERIZATION OF CRACKS; LOCALIZATION AND STATE OF PRESTRESSING DUCTS; EVOLUTION IN CONCRETE SETTING; NEW APPLICATIONS OF NON-DESTRUCTIVE DYNAMIC TESTING, ESPECIALLY FOR THE STUDY OF CONCRETE RESUMPTION. THE STUDIES STARTED IN 1978 OF THE CONTROL OF DUCT CONDITIONS AND CRACK OPENINGS SHOULD BE COMPLETED. NEW TECHNIQUES SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FOR THE DATING OF CRACKS, LOCALIZATION OF PRESTRESSING DUCTS AND SPECIAL APPLICATIONS OF DYNAMIC NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING. |
