THE AIM OF THE RESEARCH IS TO ESTABLISH CRITERIA FOR CHARACTERIZING THE BEHAVIOUR OF CONCRETE AND REINFORCED CONCRETE VIS A VIS CRACK PROPAGATION. DURING THE LAST THREE YEARS A TEST METHOD WAS DEVELOPED, AND USABLE RESULTS WERE OBTAINED, ESPECIALLY ON UNREINFORCED CONCRETE 28 DAYS OF AGE. IN 1979, IT IS ENVISAGED: TO STUDY THE PROPAGATION OF CRACKS IN YOUNG CONCRETE (7 DAYS AT THE MOST); TO STUDY THE INTERACTION OF A CRACK AND THE REINFORCEMENT BY COMPARING EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS WITH THOSE OF A THEORETICAL MODEL. THIS RESEARCH REPLACES PART OF RESEARCH PROJECT IRRD NO 500232. |
