摘要: IT IS INTENDED TO SHOW THE EXTENT TO WHICH DYNAMIC STUDIES OF DRIVING MADE AT CONSTRUCTION SITES CAN RESULT IN RECOMMENDATIONS FOR TRAFFIC LANE DESIGN AND PERMISSIBLE SPEEDS. THE COURSE OF MOVEMENT OF THE VEHICLE IS TO BE SIMULATED BY A DIGITAL COMPUTER MODEL, ATTENTION BEING PAID TO THE MOVEMENT OF THE VEHICLE IN RELATION TO THE WHEEL SUSPENSION DURING SHARP LANE CHANGING MANOEUVRES ON A BEND. THE BEHAVIOUR OF A LORRY IS TO BE COMPARED WITH THAT OF A CAR IN ORDER TO DETERMINE SAFE PERMISSIBLE SPEEDS FOR BOTH. BRAKING BEFORE THE CONSTRUCTION SITE, ESPECIALLY ON BENDS, HAS TO BE STUDIED FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF VISIBILITY DISTANCE AND CONDITION OF THE ROAD SURFACE.
