The Louisville Engineer District has awarded a $60 million dam and levee safety contract to global design and engineering firm Stantec.The award is a five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) multiple task order contract. Stantec, with joint venture partner Tetra Tech, will provide dam and levee safety engineering and design services to support the Corps' Risk Management Center on dam and levee safety projects. Work will focus on architecture and engineering services for civil works projects both inside the United States and its territories, Stantec said in a news release.Under the contract, Stantec and Tetra Tech will provide dam and levee safety engineering and design services, including, but not limited to, geotechnical, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, structural, civil/site engineering, hydrology, geology, geophysics, seismology and construction cost estimating. The team will also provide risk analysis services, tech-nical review services, safety assurance reviews, and agency technical reviews as part of the Corps' Dam and Levee Safety programs to ensure public health, safety and welfare. |
