| 摘要： | The American Waterways Operators has joined The Blue Sky Maritime Co-alition, a new non-profit alliance of mari-time stakeholders across North America who are committed to addressing climate change and achieving a commercially vi-able net zero greenhouse gas emissions marine transportation sector.The coalition s work will focus on four areas: (1) measurement and operational efficiencies; (2) finance, commercial and chartering; (3) policy, regulatory and in-centives; and (4) technology, infrastruc-ture and fuels.AWO's engagement in the coalition will support the decarbonization prin-ciples endorsed by its board of directors during its meeting in May. Others among the 24 founding members of the coali-tion include AWO carrier members Bay-Houston Towing Company, Centerline Logistics Corporation, Crowley Maritime Corporation, Kirby Corporation, and Mo-ran Towing Corporation, as well as the American Bureau of Shipping and many ports and maritime groups. |
