摘要: The recent installation of Lidar sensors on roadway inventory vans lets the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) collect vast amounts of data along Kentucky’s highway systems. Lidar has many transportation-related applications, however, not all Lidar data are created equally. Relative and geospatial accuracies, data densities, collection procedures, and other factors can limit the utility of post-processed Lidar deliverables. KTC will develop best practices for data collection, post-processing, and data extraction as well as train KYTC staff who will use Lidar sensors on roadway inventory vans.
