Phase II: Evaluation of Corrosion Inhibiting Materials Applied by Impregnation (Pressure Injection) Methods to Prevent Corrosion of Post-tensioned Tendons
项目名称: Phase II: Evaluation of Corrosion Inhibiting Materials Applied by Impregnation (Pressure Injection) Methods to Prevent Corrosion of Post-tensioned Tendons
摘要: The objectives of this research are to: (1) Continue monitoring VPF impregnated tendons for corrosion performance and establishment of service life and any need for reimpregnation. (2) Identify and test alternative corrosion mitigating fluids that are capable of being impregnated through the interwire space of prestressing strands without loss of bond strength. (3) Quantify the implications to service life of each fluid tested through durability projections. (4) Assess design implication of partial bond where bonded tendons are expected for structural considerations
