摘要: To ensure long lasting performance of pavements and avoid significant maintenance and rehabilitation costs, it is necessary to achieve high quality and uniformly compacted pavement materials. In this project, the research team will explore integration of Intelligent Compaction (IC) with passive wireless sensing system to detect changes in the geomaterials� moisture content and stiffness. This can potentially play a big role in complementing the IC technology to ensure long lasting performance of pavement materials and to reduce maintenance and rehabilitation costs.
