This project has two components. 1) Developing a shared vision among INDOT, ISP, and DOR on the business processes and agency interaction required for implementation of WIM based enforcement. The Purdue Technical Assistance Program (TAP) will lead that initiative. 2) The Purdue Traffic Lab will characterize the WIM accuracy of a newly constructed site on I-70 to define expected weight tolerances, routine calibration requirements, and recommend changes to INDOT�s current WIM construction specification. |
