| 摘要： | This project will develop a resource with information about the historical context of Idaho�s state highways that can be used in evaluating the historic significance and integrity of individual highways or highway segments throughout Idaho for use in assessing NRHP eligibility. The objectives of this project include: 1) completing a comprehensive history of the state�s transportation networks that will assist in meeting the requirements of NHPA Section 106, 2) resolving errors and omissions in existing documentation utilized by ITD and Idaho SHPO regarding Idaho�s historic roads and highways , 3) creating a resource that enables efficient completion of NHPA Section 106 consultation for FHWA, LHTAC, and ITD projects, thus reducing the costs and time required for successful environmental clearance and project delivery, and 4) providing an easily-accessible central reference that serves both ITD regulatory compliance needs and offers a valuable resource to citizens of Idaho. |
