Resilient and Rapid Repair Measures for Seismically Vulnerable Bridges |
摘要: |
This research aims to develop, design, and validate a practical post-earthquake repair methodology that can be rapidly implemented and that incorporates low damage earthquake resilience of the repaired bent when subjected to future shaking. The effectiveness of existing repair methods will be reviewed whilst considering rapid installation and the susceptibility of the repair to future earthquake damage. These will be contrasted to the proposed concept that utilizes the external collar with ductile fuses. The low damage target for the proposed repair is the ability of the repaired bent to achieve operational performance levels by rapid replacement of the ductile fuses and by ensuring the remainder of the bent remains essentially elastic. In order to evaluate the proposed repair method, damaged components of a typical bent will be repaired and tested in the laboratory. |
