Advanced Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Integration for Airports
项目名称: Advanced Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Integration for Airports
摘要: ACRP Web-Only Document 23: Guidance on Successful Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Selection and Practices is a primer for airport operators when they are considering adding a CMMS. A CMMS can be used to manage a single system (e.g., baggage handling, HVAC), expand by integrating with other systems, and mature as a program to be a part of an airports decision making. A CMMS can be used to manage a variety of assets across a number of different functions and thus can be overwhelming when implementing a new or replacement CMMS. The robustness of the features and functionalities of CMMS available today also adds to the complexity. Thus the phasing of systems into the CMMS may result in a more successful implementation, and development of a business case is the first step to help determine which system should be managed first by the CMMS. Users of past CMMS have struggled with the details of classifying and grouping asset tracking. Recommendations for logical groupings are needed for various levels of tracking. Additionally, reporting from the CMMS for airport executives is generally inadequate for business decision making, and recommendations are needed for this full evolution of the CMMS. The objectives of this research are to develop guidance that will (1) identify which airport system is likely to provide the highest value when implementing a CMMS; (2) describe the steps necessary to implement the identified system into a CMMS; (3) provide the factors that an airport should consider when prioritizing the systems for inclusion into the CMMS in a phased approach; and (4) provide the steps for integrating CMMS into business decision making. Research Report 155: Guidebook for Advanced Computerized Maintenance Management System Integration at Airports has now been published.
