摘要：	USDOT defines Integrated Corridor Management (ICM) as the concept and practice of managing a corridor in an integrated fashion, and the Integrated Corridor Management System (ICMS) is the underlying infrastructure that enables agencies to perform that management process in an efficient manner. Another way to view an ICMS is as a group of independent systems joined (integrated) by a Decision Support System (DSS). The ICMS would use the DSS component to analyze corridor data and provide recommended congestion mitigation strategies to corridor managers and operators. The goal of this project is to evaluate the feasibility of an ICM system for Suffolk County roadways, which capitalizes on existing ITS infrastructure, including hardware and software.The conceived undertaking is different from other ICM projects in that the focus is on a suburban grid of roads serving largely suburb-to-suburb trips, with only one section of a limited access facility. Proposed Actions: ⦁ Identify potential corridors for ICM ⦁ Quantify the potential benefits using Analysis, Modelling and Simulation (AMS) ⦁ Identify interagency agreements that are central to the actions that will be part of ICM ⦁ Develop a framework for the central Decision Support System of ICM ⦁ Produce a comprehensive final report detailing the background of the project, work performed and results (Information regarding new data collected and existing data sources used will be included.)
