| 摘要： | This study addresses the problem of meeting the growing demand for public dialysis transport in North Carolina. The study uses Year 2000 Census data and two survey instruments to identify and analyze common barriers to dialysis transport and to assess the current level of service quality provided by county paratransit systems. A collaborative process involving dialysis social workers, transit managers, transit planners and the principal investigators was used to develop both surveys. The first survey targeted nephrology social workers while the second survey captured information from county transit managers. The surveys were administered in December, 2004 and January, 2005. |
