| 摘要： | On December 15, 1976, the tanker 'ARGO MERCHANT' ran aground southeast of Nantucket Island. The subsequent discharge of its 7,700,000 gallons of No. 6 fuel oil resulted in one of the largest oil spills off the coast of the United States. This report presents the findings on the performance of all NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) elements which participated in providing data, information, equipment or other services associated with the Federal response to the ARGO MERCHANT incident. / Supplementary Notes: See also PB2010-104368. / Availability Note: Product reproduced from digital image.
