| 摘要： | The objectives of this manufacturing development program were to determine methods capable of producing torsion tubes at reduced manufacturing cost with no sacrifice in quality. The methods addressed was HYDRAFILM extrusion of tube blanks and final machining to configuration. It was found that the internal configuration can be brought to a near net condition as extruded thus precluding much I.D. machining. Failure of the extrusion tooling after 13 trials resulted in the final delivery of only four testable sample items. These were submitted for Government test and evaluation. |
