| 摘要： | The key to longevity as an organization is a willingness to continue to find ways to refresh and reinvent yourself. History is replete with examples of organizations that rested on past success, became stagnant and were left behind. With strong volunteer and staff leadership and guided by our strategic plans, over the past 7 years, ITE has continued to find ways to evolve and grow as an organization. From our ONE ITE efforts modernizing our internal operations, to our Institute Initiatives positioning ITE at the forefront of todays transportation issues, to the changes and growth in our Councils and Committees, we have sought to be "the transportation organization of choice." Our growth in membership over this time from 14,000 in 2015 to nearly 17,000 in 2022 is a demonstration of our success. While we can be proud of these accomplishments, we cannot rest on this success. In this issue of ITEJ, we focus on transportation planning and celebrate the contributions that planners make to our profession. At the same time, we are launching a 2023 initiative to enhance the services and value we provide to planners and a recruitment drive to bring more planners to ITE. |
