He was a Fellow and Life Member of ITE. Dr. Joseph G. Palsa, P.E. (M) of Richmond, VA, USA passed away on December 7,2021. Laurence (Larry) A. Dondanville (H) passed away on January 1, 2023 at the age of 94. Larry was the 35th International President of ITE in 1974 and an Honorary Member of ITE. Larry had a long career with De Leuw, Cather & Company. He became a director of De Leuw, Cather of Australia and executive vice president and director of De Leuw, Cather International. Larry was involved in planning, design, and construction services for many major transportation projects throughoutthe world, including the first suspension bridge across the Bosphorus Straits at Istanbul, Turkey; the Kuwait and Abu Dhabi Motorway Systems in the Middle East; the Sydney and Perth Expressway Systems in Australia; and the Mass Rapid Transit Rail Systems in Singapore, Taipei, and Bangkok. |
