| 摘要： | Last year, the ITE Student Chapter at the University of Southern California (USC ITE) participated in a STEM outreach volunteer program, with support from the ITE Western District. We designed a unique STEM outreach curriculum where we introduced the concept of transportation planning and engineering to high school students. Six of our members taught more than 25 high schoolers along a five-axis curriculum. Through the three sessions, students learned about how different forms of transportation interact with each other, and also learned how they could impact transit and road networks across Los Angeles, CA, USA and beyond. Additionally, we also taught them how to evaluate the environmental impacts of traffic and congestion. |
