| 摘要： | ITE recently learned of the passing of the following members. We recognize them for their contributions to ITE and the profession, and send condolences to their families. ITE Honorary Member Samuel Cass (H) of North York, Ontario, Canada, passed away on January 16, 2022 at the age of 99. A longtime contributor to the transportation profession, Sam received his bachelor of science degree with honors from the University of Toronto and a master's in in Civil Engineering-Transportation Planning from the University of Waterloo. Sam's career in transportation commenced in 1950 when he joined the staff of the City of Toronto as the Assistant City Traffic Engineer. Some 39 years later, Sam retired from the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto as the Commissioner of Roads and Traffic. |
