摘要: Onshore and offshore dredging has long been a multi-step process, highly dependent on skilled operators to remove materials to a specified depth, material disposal and verification of work completed. More recently, advanced visualization systems have helped streamline the process. Now, technology advances are enabling fully automated start-to-finish operations. Engineering firm SPE GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, has developed one of the industry's first fully autonomous dredging solutions-a system that independently collects data from the area to be dredged, and then uses that data to autonomously control the system.
