This report presents the results of our review of airport revenues at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, which operates two airports in Orlando, Florida: the Orlando International Airport (the Airport) and the Orlando Executive Airport. The objective of this review was to determine whether the City of Orlando (City), the airport sponsor, was complying with revenue use requirements. Exhibit A contains details on the scope and methodology we used in conducting this audit. In September 1976, the Aviation Authority and the City entered into an Operation and Use Agreement that gave the Aviation Authority the exclusive right to operate and control Orlando International and Orlando Executive Airports. The 50-year agreement began on October 1, 1976, and ends September 30, 2026. At the end of the 50-year period, control of the airports reverts back to the City. |
