| 摘要： | The replacement of the St. George Island causeway bridge near Apalachicola, Florida with a new bridge structure represents a unique and valuable opportunity to experimentally measure barge impact forces. In two previous phases of this project, researchers (1) conducted a feasibility study and (2) designed instrumentation systems and determined site conditions. In this third phase, researchers will characterize barge impact loads, validate of the FLPIER Software, and assess existing bridge strength, post-impact strength, and rehabilitation strength. |
