摘要: AS MANY LOGISTICS AND SUPPLY CHAIN processes have been altered to varying degrees for the better part of the past two and half years, there remains a general feeling of uneasiness in supply chain circles. These factors are things supply chain stakeholders are dealing with on a daily basis, including inflation, labor and employee retention issues, as well as high fuel prices. Another factor that's top of mind for logistics and supply chain management professional is what could be in store for the 2022 peak season. A reason for this concern is the fact that peak season has not seen volumes resembling what could be viewed as "traditional" over the past couple years. One key driver dates to when the pandemic began, there became an all-year peak season with people upping their e-commerce activity to procure basic consumer staples as well as more big-ticket items like appliances and exercise equipment as they were following shelter-in-place orders.
