| 摘要： | The National Park Service (NPS) proposes to rehabilitate the historic lumber schooner C.A. Thayer, a National Historic Landmark. The purpose of the project is to protect and preserve the C.A. Thayer, as called for in the Park's approved General Management Plan, to enhance the visitor experience, and enable more efficient use of park maintenance and operational funding. The C.A. Thayer has suffered massive deterioration through rot in its structural timbers and advanced decay of its fastenings. The project proposal would follow The Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Historic Vessel Preservation Projects, and would result in a vessel that can be maintained afloat, in sailworthy condition, by the Parks' historic preservation staff and volunteers, using Park base funding and limited cyclic funding for periodic preventive maintenance drydocking. |
