| 摘要： | The ITE STEM Committee's mission is to"build awareness of transportation as an exciting and rewarding STEM career choice so that our industry has a strong pipeline of diverse, bright, and thoughtful future-transportation professionals." We carry-out this mission by growing and developing ITE's involvement in STEM outreach at the K-12 level. Our goals are to: 1.Educate ITE members about the importance of K-12 STEM outreach 2.Empower and inspire ITE members to engage in equitable STEM outreach to broad, diverse groups of K-12 students 3.Develop transportation-related STEM/STEAM outreach activities and materials 4.Organize, support, and/or share information about STEM outreach opportunities 5.Share best practices and lessons-learned for K-12 STEM outreach with ITE members The ITE STEM committee is composed of passionate ITE members who enthusiastically volunteer their time to advance this cause through a variety of different efforts.
