Seemingly overnight, the skills needed to be successful in these new roles shift dramatically.The skill gap is wider than you may think. During this session, discover the true nature of the "gap" and identify the most critical skills needed to successfully bridge it.Of the skills needed to bridge "the gap," communication skills are the most frequently cited. As a volunteer leader, you need to listen between the lines to motivate volunteers and grow new volunteers. Take time to learn simple but powerful listening skills so that you encourage involvement, diffuse tense situations, and hear all the voices in the room. |
