摘要：	The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) awarded a technical assistance grant to the East Africa Community (EAC) to assist in the development of a plan to implement modern Global Positioning System (GPS)/Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) in the region. EAC is a regional intergovernmental organization of the Republics of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. It was established in 1999 with its Headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania. Aerospace Services International, Inc. (ASI) and Scientific Consulting and Automated Technological Service, Inc. (SCATS) were commissioned to carry out the technical assistance. The assistance will focus on the development of strategies and plan for implementation of GNSS in the EAC region.
